2025-2026 Welcome

Dear Students, Parents, and Guardians,

We are very excited to welcome all of our incoming and returning families to the Rainbow Early Childhood Center for the 2025-2026 School Year! We look forward to having new, fun filled, exciting adventures. 

We are growing and making added changes throughout our building. Rainbow will have a new secure entrance and new padded flooring has been placed under our indoor playscape. We are also welcoming two Head Start classrooms, an additional kindergarten classroom and two new teachers to our building.  These new staff members will be highlighted in our newsletter this September.

Some important dates and information that you will want to take note of are listed below:

  • Sept. 2 - First day of school for all Kindergarten, Young 5s, and ECSE students
  •  Sept. 4 - Meet the Teacher Night from 6 to 7 p.m.
  • Sept.  8 - First day of school for GSRP students
  • Sept. 10 - Late start
  • Start and end times for Kindergarten and Young 5s/ GSRP Preschool:
    • School starts at 8:15 a.m., doors open at 8:10 a.m.
    • Dismissal is at 2:45 p.m. for GSRP,
    • Dismissal is at 3 p.m. for Kindergarten/Young 5s.
  • Start and end times  for ECSE's half-day schedule:

    • Morning class - 8:30 to 11:15 a.m

    • Afternoon class - 11:45 a.m. to 2:25 pm

  • Sept. 24 - Late Start

  • Oct. 14 - Picture Day for Kindergarten, Young 5s, GSRP and ECSE

Please follow all traffic rules in addition to our school campus rules:

  • The entrance closest to Finley Street is ENTER ONLY.

  • Please EXIT ONLY from the parking lot exit driveway closer to Colman.

  • Families who need to help their children out of the car must park in the large main parking lot in front of the school.

  • The lane closest to the building from the entrance driveway is drop-off only and should move quickly - no standing or parking, stopping only.
