ENROLL for KINDERGARTEN

Young 5s

Young Fives is a two-year program designed for children who will be five years old between July 1 and Dec 1.

The program provides a strong foundation for future success in all areas of learning. Children are taught with hands-on materials, songs, and games. They are assessed by observation and work samples. Upon completion of the two-year program, children enter first grade.

This program is available at the Rainbow Early Childhood Center.

Kindergarten School Supply List

  • 5-10 #2 pencils with erasers, sharpened
  • 1 box of 16 or 24 crayons
  • 1 pair of scissors
  • 4 glue sticks
  • dry-erase markers (in a baggy with your child’s name)
  • 1 box of tissues
  • 1 package of baby wipes
  • pencil box (or pouch)
  • backpack large enough to fit a pocket folder
  • 1 change of clothing (in case of an accident) should be kept in your child’s backpack
  • lunchbox (if needed)
  • 1 water bottle to keep at their seat if desired
  • 1 inch, 3 ring binder (with a clear pocket on the front)
  • headphones in a labeled gallon-size bag

It would be a great idea to label as many items as possible. Please write your child’s name in the inside of their backpack and lunchbox for safety reasons.
